Tracking illegal drone operations

AFRS Firefighter Drone Pilots Deploy CUAS Technology to Protect Manned Aircraft from Rogue Drone Threat

AFRS.US recently responded to concerns of a regional airport facing a significant safety concern: an unauthorized drone was operating illegally, posing a potential threat to manned aircraft and passenger safety.

Within 30 minutes of receiving the alert and confirming the incident with Air Traffic Control (ATC), AFRS mobilized its rapid response unit. The team deployed its advanced mobile Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (CUAS) platform on-site, immediately initiating airspace monitoring to detect and track rogue drone activity in real time.

AFRS’s CUAS technology does more than detect drones. It delivers critical situational awareness by mapping historical flight paths and identifying the precise location of drone operators. This empowers local law enforcement to take swift and accurate enforcement actions in line with FAA regulations and public safety protocols.

AFRS.US invites airport administrators, municipal agencies, and law enforcement divisions to explore partnership opportunities. By leveraging AFRS’s integrated CUAS and rapid response solutions, your community can stay ahead of emerging aerial threats while enhancing overall emergency preparedness.
