AFRS Responds - Adams County Tornados

In the wake of the devastating tornadoes that struck our neighbors in Adams County on April 2nd and 3rd, AFRS firefighter drone pilots sprang into action, swiftly providing essential equipment to ground teams engaged in life-saving missions.

Equipped with public safety-grade drones, our team offers invaluable support by enabling ground personnel to navigate through complete darkness and detect heat signatures, crucial for locating both human and animal survivors.

Once a victim is pinpointed, our skilled pilots send precise map coordinates to ground units, guiding them effortlessly to within 3 to 6 feet of the target.

This remarkable technology not only complements our regional emergency response efforts but also streamlines operations, saving valuable time and resources.

In moments where every second counts and ground resources are stretched thin, you can rely on AFRS's dependable shared emergency robotic response services. Total time on scene: 16 hours / 2 firefighter drone pilots Total cost to Adams County Residents: Zero dollars and zero cents.

Our services are only possible through the generous donations from community members and business owners.
